After your request, Roberts Physical Therapy will send you a confirmation message with all the details, including a WebPT Zoom link you can use to sign-in for your appointment.

Do I need anything special to attend a virtual visit?

If you have an Internet connection and a smartphone or a computer running Safari, Firefox, or Google Chrome, you can connect with your therapist through WebPT Zoom.

On the day of your appointment, your provider will send you an email with a link to check-in for your appointment.

If this is your first virtual visit, WebPT Zoom will ask you to download Zoom and ask for permission to use the camera and microphone on your device so you can see, hear, and talk to your provider. After you give WebPT Zoom permission to access your computer’s audio-visual system, you will enter a virtual waiting room. The program will tell your provider you have arrived for your appointment. When it’s time, your provider will start the session.

With WebPT Zoom, there’s no reason for you to leave your home. No more worrying about reschedule appointments when you are not feeling well or when there is inclement weather. Roberts Physical Therapy can still guide you through your personalized plan of care as if you were in the clinic with our team!

What can I expect during a telehealth appointment?

Of course, there are differences between a virtual appointment and an in-person visit.

But some things are the same.

You can talk with your physical therapist in real-time, just as you would at an in-person appointment. You can tell your therapist about your symptoms, condition, medications, and any challenges you’re facing – right from the comfort of your own home.

If you live with another person, your therapist may ask that person to help assist you with exercises if necessary.

After our community is safe from the COVID-19 pandemic, you can resume normal in-person visits with your therapist (if you choose) but until then, our therapists can see you remotely for things such as follow-up visits.

Why telehealth?
