Brett Roberts – Doctor of Physical Therapy
Brett Roberts, DPT is the President of Roberts & Associates Physical Therapy and Inertia Solutions. Dr. Roberts received a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Evidence in Motion in 2011, a Master of Physical Therapy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2002, and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Augustana College in 2000.
Dr. Roberts was one of a first physical therapists in the state that pursued advanced training in the technique of trigger point dry needling (TDN) from Kinetacore. TDN is a technique that assists patients in overcoming chronic trigger points that feed into conditions such as low back pain and neck pain. Dr. Roberts has also pursued advanced training in the manual medicine tract at Michigan State University-College of Osteopathic Medicine. Additionally, he has pursued training in aquatic therapy, industrial ergonomics, and various sports medicine techniques.
Professionally, Dr. Roberts serves as the Legislative Committee Chair for the Wisconsin Physical Therapy Association (WPTA). He also serves as the Chair for the WPTA Private Practice Special Interest Group. In 2010, he was named an ‘Emerging Leader’ by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Dr. Roberts is also a member of the Orthopedic and Private Practice Section of APTA and the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists.

When not helping patients to maximize their ability to move, Brett enjoys spending time with his wife Becky, and daughters Grace and Kaelyn. He is a weekend warrior who enjoys bike riding, auto racing, contact sports, and cheering on the Badgers. Go Bucky! In 2015, he participated in his first RAGBRAI and plans on making this bike ride an annual event.
Kelly Ashbeck, DPT, OCS joined our practice in February 2015 as Director of Clinical Residency. Dr. Ashbeck is a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. He received a Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2008 from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology in 2005 from UW-La Crosse.
In 2013 Dr. Ashbeck completed a year-long Orthopedic Residency. This is an advanced type of training that consists of hands-on training, clinical mentorship, and orthopedic coursework. He has also pursued specialty training in trigger point dry needling, manual therapy, graded motor imagery, and custom foot orthoses.
Professionally, Dr. Ashbeck is a member of the Orthopedic Section of the American Physical Therapy Association and the International Association for the Study of Pain. He serves as Adjunct Faculty with Specialized Physical Therapy Education in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
When not in the clinic, Kelly enjoys spending time with his wife Jenna, their two dogs Cinder and Mila, and their two cats Halen and Winger. He is a life-long learner who enjoys reading and sampling fine Wisconsin micro-brews.
Christopher Schuetze, DPT, OCS joined our practice in June of 2015 and is a 2015 graduate of Concordia University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program. He is also a 2011 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a degree in Psychology. Dr. Schuetze became Roberts & Associates first Orthopedic Clinical Resident, completing his residency through Specialized Physical Therapy Education and under the mentorship of Dr. Matt Haebrl, DPT, OCS, ATC, CSCS, FAAOMPT, and Dr. Paul Rueteman, DPT, OCS, ATC. Dr. Schuetze obtained his Orthopedic Clinical Board certification through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties in June of 2017.
Clinically, Dr. Schuetze will be seeing patients primarily in our Wisconsin Rapids and Plainfield clinics. Additionally, Dr. Schuetze has pursued advanced clinical training in the management of persistent pain, TMJ disfunction and manual therapy techniques. He is also a member of the American and Wisconsin Physical Therapy Association as well as the Private Practice Section of the APTA.
Outside of his practice, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife Grace and enjoying biking, fishing, wake boarding, and relaxing pontoon rides with family on the lakes of our great state!
Earlynda Heuszel – Doctor of Physical Therapy
Earlynda Heuszel, DPT joined our practice in March of 2016 and is a 2003 graduate of Des Moines University’s Physical Therapy Program. She is also a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse, obtaining a Bachelors in Biology in 2000.
In recent years, Earlynda has become well versed in women’s health issues. Women’s health issues can include pelvic pain, fecal or urinal incontinence, osteoporosis, pelvic organ prolapse, dyspareunia, or pregnancy related concerns. Fostering a comfortable environment for her patients and her passion to get them back to optimal health has allowed her to have very successful outcomes for her patients.
Dr. Heuszel also enjoys working with patient who are dealing with persistent pain as well as injuries to the spine. Her practice incorporates both a manual therapy, hands on approach, as well as utilizing aquatic therapy to assist our patients on their journey to “Get Moving, Keep Moving, and Enjoy Life”!
“I love helping patients to achieve whatever their goals happen to be.” Dr. Heuszel said, “Whether that is being able to walk around their block on their own, returning to work after an injury, returning to their hobbies after surgery, helping to control pain during or after pregnancy, or to be able to live their day without fear of having an episode of incontinence.”
When not helping patients in the clinic, Dr. Heuszel enjoys playing disc golf, bike riding, and spending time with her family. She is also a member of the American and Wisconsin Physical Therapy Association.
Carl DeLuca – Doctor of Physical Therapy
Carl DeLuca, DPT joined our practice in July of 2016. A Wisconsin Rapids native, Dr. DeLuca has an interest working with patients who have Parkinson’s Disease or Multiple Sclerosis. He also enjoys assisting patient’s who are having difficulty with vestibular issues such as vertigo or have experienced concussion related symptoms. His practice also extends to the home based / assisted living facilities in the Wisconsin Rapids area. Dr. DeLuca is a 2016 graduate of the University of Wisconsin Madison’s Doctor of Physical Therapy Program.
In addition, Dr. DeLuca will be entering our Orthopedic Residency Program in 2017, with the intent of becoming an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist.
Dr. DeLuca also speaks Spanish and can see patients whose native language is Spanish. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and has a lot of Spanish speaking experience, including a physical therapy service trip to Guatemala.

Christopher Ashbeck – Doctor of Physical Therapy
Christopher Ashbeck, DPT joined our practice in May of 2017. Dr. Ashbeck is a 2017 graduate of the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse Physical Therapy program. He is also a 2012 graduate of the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse with a degree in Exercise and Sport Science. Dr. Ashbeck will continue to advance his post-graduate education as an Orthopedic Clinical Resident at our Amherst clinic location.
His clinical interest include post surgical rehabilitation, spots injury rehabilitation, shoulder, neck, back, hip, and knee pain. Additionally Dr. Ashbeck has an interest in treating vertigo and persistent pain. He is a member of the American and Wisconsin Physical Therapy Association as well as the Orthopedic Section of the APTA.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Ashbeck enjoys spending time with his wife Danica and his daughter Emma, and enjoys running, fishing, and cheering on the Brewers, Packers, and Badgers.
Amy Blanchard – Patient Care Coordinator
Amy is our patient care coordinators in our Wisconsin Rapids office. When not helping patients to “Get Moving, Keep Moving, and Enjoy Life”, Amy enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and enjoying the outdoors.

Heather Carter – Marketing and Human Resources Specialist
Heather joined our practice in June of 2017. She is a 2012 graduate from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee with a Bachelors of Business Administration, Degree in Marketing. She also has a Minor in Journalism and Mass Media Communication with an emphasis in Strategic Communication. Heather brings to the practice five years of knowledge and experience in human resources and recruiting.
In addition, she is the Secretary of the Stevens Point Area Human Resource Association and has sat on the board for two terms. She is also a member of Ignite Leadership Network of Portage County.
Outside of the practice, Heather enjoys spending time with her husband Donald, and two daughters Evelyn and Malaya, and living a healthy lifestyle through good diet, exercise, and laughter.
